Scope & Content The collection consists of clippings put together by Dr. Grosscup, relating to Israel, Judaism, and Palestine.
Admin/Biographical History Gordon Grosscup was born on January 5, 1927 in San Francisco, California. He attended the University of California Berkeley where his main focus was on anthropology and archaelogy, receiving a Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1950 and in M.A. in 1959. Following this, Grosscup attended the University of Utah from 1960-1961 as a visiting assistant professor. From 1961-1964, Grosscup taught classes and served as the curator at the University of Utah Museum. From Utah, Gordon came to Wayne State University as faculty in 1964 and taught within the Department of Anthropology until retiring in 1991 when was given the title of Professor Emeritus.
